"I want my music to be an essential support to those who feel lost and purposeless".

Claire Kerri

"I feel lucky and blessed to live in a time where it's so easy to release your own songs and share them with the world, without necessarily having to be signed by a major label".

Claire Kerri

Claire Kerri is a singer and songwriter from Munich, Germany.

Music has always been a huge part in Claire's life. She grew up in a very musical family that introduced her to all different kinds of music. Mariah Carey, The Bee Gees, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Joe Cocker and Eric Clapton are just a few of those great artists that influenced Claire in her early childhood. So since she was a little girl she knew that she didn't want to be anything else but a singer and performer. There was never a plan B. Today she says, "whenever I had to do anything else but singing I felt like giving up myself".

Claire started singing at the tender age of six, recorded songs on audio tapes and sang them to her family and friends. By listening to her idols she consistently trained her voice all by herself and learned how to bring out the specific qualities of her unique and powerful voice. As her passion for singing grew steadily, she decided to join the school band and choir at the age of 12 to take a chance to stand on a big stage. That's when she gained her first stage experiences, and fell in love with live performing right away. "I love the audience. To me there's nothing more fulfilling than singing in front of people that came to hear my songs I've written. And when I see that my music's affecting their emotions, that's when I know I'm doing the right and I'm doing it good.", she says.

In 2011 Claire Kerri met the EDM producers Lacore Beatz and Christian Wiese alias DJ Cross Noize in Berlin with whom she wrote and co-produced a couple of demo tracks. Together they produced songs like "If the sky is falling down" and "Take you higher" which gained a lot of positive feedback on social media. "At that time I learned a lot about producing and mixing Electronic sound but I felt like I did it only with half my heart. It was fun, but it was just not me. I couldn't be the authentic artist which I'm always seeking to be", Claire says. So she decided to find her way back to the music she feels most connected to - the R'n'B influenced Pop music.

In 2015 Claire Kerri joined the German Pop/Rock band Unique, to act as their front singer and songwriter. With her former band mates, producer and drummer Laurin Schuetz and guitarist Nick Stadler, she produced and wrote the pop ballad "Open your heart", which contributed to the original soundtrack of the award-winning US movie "Shared rooms", by Guest House Films LLC, in 2016.

In March 2018, Claire Kerri released her Cover EP "The ballads collection Vol. I" which is distributed by SpinnUp/Universal Music.

Just a few months later, on October 29th 2018, she finally released her first original written EP "In This Skin", distributed by Amuse Records. "This album is my baby, It is super personal and the most authentic record I've ever put out.", the songstress says. "I feel so lucky and blessed that I live in a time, where it's so easy to release your own songs and be able to share it with the world, without necessarily having to be signed by a major label."

When asking the songstress, what her greatest ambition is, she says, " I want my music to inspire people to follow their heart and to live the life they're dreaming of. Sometimes the best you can do is not to go with the flow, but rather to pave your own ways. I really hope, my music can be an essential support for those who feel lost and purposeless."
